If you’ve been searching for effective facial rejuvenation, it’s time to consider dermal fillers in Philadelphia at Keystone Dermatology Partners. We have a wealth of experience administering a wide variety of fillers to restore skin volume and eliminate the signs of facial aging.

Our Dermal Fillers

We offer some of the best fillers on the market, including Restylane, Juvederm, Belotero, Radiesse, and Revanesse Versa.

Restylane, Juvederm, Belotero, and Revanesse Versa are all composed of the powerful ingredient, hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance naturally produced by the body that binds with water molecules for moisture and structure.

These hyaluronic-acid fillers address a variety of moderate and deep facial wrinkles, including marionette lines, the nasolabial folds, parentheses lines bordering the mouth, and smoker’s lines around the lips. They can diminish dark circles under the eyes, smooth away acne scars, and plump and define thin lips when used as a lip filler.

Radiesse is an injectable filler composed of microspheres of calcium hydroxylapatite, or CaHA, inside an aqueous gel. The microspheres form a supportive framework inside the tissues to increase volume and encourage the growth of new collagen and elastin.

This filler is ideal for smoothing away marionette lines, the nasolabial folds, and parentheses lines. It is also used to augment chin and cheek volume.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Dermal Fillers?

Most patients are ideal candidates for injectable fillers. If you have an existing skin infection in the treatment area, it is best to fully resolve it before coming in for a session.

Pregnant and breastfeeding women are not considered eligible for dermal fillers. During the initial consultation, it is important to be transparent regarding any allergies that you may have so that the best course of action can be chosen.

Preparing for Your Filler Treatment Session

During your consultation, you will be given certain instructions regarding preparation for your dermal filler injections.

A week before your treatment session, you should refrain from taking certain over-the-counter medications like Aleve, Motrin, aspirin, and ibuprofen.

Two days before your scheduled appointment, do not apply topical products like Retinol, Glycolic Acid, Retinoids, Tretinoin (Retin-A), or anti-aging products. During this period, you should also steer clear of hair-removal creams, bleaching, tweezing, and/or waxing.

A day before your treatment, it’s vital that you refrain from alcohol consumption.

What to Expect During a Treatment Session

A treatment session with one of these injectable products is incredibly convenient, typically taking around a half hour.

At the start, a local or topical anesthetic is administered. In some cases, a local anesthetic called lidocaine comes pre-mixed into the product. Anesthetic creates a temporary numbing effect in the treatment area so that there is no pain felt.

Once the area is numb, the injection of the dermal filler product is delivered precisely into the treatment region. This is repeated for all targeted regions until the desired rejuvenation is complete.

Dermal Filler Injection Aftercare

After your treatment session is over, you will be able to go back to your everyday schedule without any sort of recovery or downtime required. Patients regularly get these injections done during a lunch break and then return to their workday.

It will be necessary to avoid heavy sun exposure for a time after treatment. To avoid additional bruising, it is best to stay away from alcohol for a few weeks. Strenuous activities should be avoided as well. To reduce bruising, you can apply ice to the affected area.

Each filler we offer lasts for a different amount of time in the skin tissues before being completely absorbed. The exact length of time results last will also depend on the patient’s metabolism. Patients can return for follow-up maintenance treatments to increase the amount of time that results from last.

Genuinely concerned for his patients

“The staff are very friendly and professional. The office has a very nice environment. I purposely traveled from the Fox Chase area of Philadelphia to this office in King Of Prussia to see Dr. Clifford Perlis. He performed MOHS surgery on my face years ago and did a wonderful job in removing the basal cell carcinoma and in leaving a minimal scar. Plus he is genuinely concerned for his patients. I highly recommend this practice.”
